Function of Software

Software is mainly used in computer so it is known as computer software. Software means computer instruction or data that can be stored electrically. Software is a collection of programs and related figures that bestows the instructions for telling the computer what to do, what do not to do and how to do this. Software can’t be seen and it can’t be touched but it works very effectively in the computer. 

The function of computer is totally depends on the function of software. Computer works is fully consisting of the collection of software. Software is used to operate programs according to its function and manner. To complete any kind of work through computer it is important to have its specific software such as to play music it is needed sound system software, play video it is needed another kind of software what support, to draw it is needed several kind of software. Without software computer can’t do any kind of task because computer needs two essential utensils software and hardware, both depends on each other to operate the program of computer.

 Basically two kinds of software are seen in the computer, system software and application software, system software embraces the operating system and all roles that enable the computer to function and application software contains programs that do actual task for user. Different kinds of software are for different kinds of work to do. Software provides the instruction to the programs for finishing its full jobs. Now days computer do many kind of work alone and to do those kinds of task computer uses several kind of software.  

Computer software is so called to differentiate it from computer hardware which encompasses the physical interconnection and devices required to store and execute the software. programs are an ordered sequence of instructions for changing the state of the computer in the particular sequence.
